Safety for all at front gates

Safety for our students and staff entering and exiting our school gates is paramount. We have recently noticed a marked increase in the number of cars dropping students off directly at the front gate causing safety issues for pedestrians and drivers alike. Parents/Guardians waiting for students should not stand blocking the gate exit at the end of the school day or park up on footpaths near safety bollards. Please drop off or collect students on approaching roads (Leinster Rd; Grosvenor Rd) where there is more road space. Charleville Rd is extremely narrow and with parked cars close to the entrance, visibility is compromised. Cars doing three point turns directly outside of the school gate are also causing serious safety concerns – an accident waiting to happen.  All students are well able to walk a few additional metres into school. Consideration is always afforded students who have compromised mobility issues.  We would appreciate your support and cooperation with this matter which affects the whole school community.
