Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities. Extra-curricular activities can vary from year to year. Here is an example of the types of clubs on offer:

- GAISCE, the President’s Award
- English, French, German and Irish debating competitions
- Public speaking competitions – Soroptomist Competition
- BT Young Scientist Competition
- SciFest Competition
- Chess Club and Board Games
- Maths quiz. Every year the school’s Higher Level Leaving Cert. Maths students enter the “Team Maths Quiz” run nationally by the Irish Maths Teachers’ Association.
