Our hydroponic herb farm has been a big success and we have had our first harvest. Thank you to the group of 2nd year students who prepared a tasting session of bread, cheese, tomato and freshly-cut basil. The basil plants already have new leaves and will be ready for a second harvest soon. This is part of a wider project, along with the geo dome and the outdoor vegetable beds, to teach students how to grow food. The idea for the hydroponic farm came from our EU-funded Erasmus nature project. Sincere thanks to ms. Earwaker for her immense work on this project.
