SLHS was delighted to welcome Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik and Dublin City Councillor, and former past pupil, Fiona Connelly to the school today for a discussion on the importance of women in politics. Both speakers shared their experiences of entering public life, the challenges they have encountered, and the motivations that continue to drive their work. They also engaged thoughtfully with students’ questions, offering valuable insight into political life and public service.
It was an informative and engaging session that provided students with a meaningful look into contemporary politics. Sincere thanks to Ms Brady and Class 1I for organising this event for our first-year students.
