TY Universities Day

Our Transition Year students participated in a ‘Universities Day’ today.  We started our day at Maynooth University where our students were given a detailed presentation which covered information about the courses that MU has to offer, as well as some information about university life.  This was followed by a tour of the campus, where MU student ambassadors talked to our students about their experience at Maynooth University. 

Following this busy morning our TYs then enjoyed a visit to DCU.  DCU’s Student Recruitment Officer provided a presentation to our TYs about life in DCU and he gave some details about what DCU provides for their students in terms of courses and the student experience.  Student ambassadors also gave some input to this presentation, giving their own perspective about their university experience, as well as some details about their programmes of study. 

While the weather was not kind to us, our TY students were very much engaged and showed great interest in what is available to them in MU and in DCU as some potential options for the future.  Well done to all!
