Talk for students and parents of 1st Year – Wednesday 18th September 2024

All First Years will have a talk tomorrow from Monica Rowe from Key Conversations during school time. The talk is to support their transition from primary into post-primary school, along with addressing issues of building friendships, dealing with social media matters and keeping conversations open with parents/guardians. We hope that this will be helpful and informative. 

 

As part of this approach, Monica will also be providing training to our 5th Yr Mentors who will be meeting with 1st years on a weekly basis and who will be providing friendly support to them as they adapt to post-primary school. Finally, Monica will meet with you in the evening at 7pm in the school to share her expertise on keeping key conversations going as a parent of young teenagers. 

 

Meeting for all 1st Year parents is on Wednesday 18th September at 7pm in St Louis High School. Please don’t miss this opportunity to hear Monica. She brings years of experience to this area and hopefully it will be of great support to you.
