Spirit Week Concludes with International Women’s Day Celebrations

Today, Friday, 6th March, marked the end of Spirit Week, and we concluded our celebrations by honouring International Women’s Day. Students contributed €2 for a pink ribbon in support of Breast Cancer Ireland, and many staff members wore pink to show their support. Thanks to the generosity of our entire school community, an outstanding €1,000 was raised.

A particular highlight of the day was our Inspiration Board, where students wrote the name of a woman who inspires them. It was a meaningful opportunity to pause and reflect on the remarkable women who influence, support, and empower us. Sincere thanks to Ms Howard and the SRC for bringing such joy, kindness, and school spirit this week. Your positivity and enthusiasm made Spirit Week a truly uplifting experience for everyone in SLHS.
