A huge well done to TY student Isabel Lawlor who participated in the semi-final of the Soroptimist All Girls Public Speaking Competition over the weekend in Athlone. Isabel did an amazing speech on the topic; Why bother voting? Does our vote really count? She also did an impromptu speech on a random topic with 3 minutes to prepare. Unfortunately Isabel did not progress to the Final this time but we hope that she takes part again next year and her success thus far will no doubt inspire other students in the school to enter the Competition.
