Our Head Girl Áine and Deputy Head Girl Isabel enjoyed a lovely coffee morning today celebrating May 9th – Europe Day. The girls enjoyed the esteemed company of Senator Regina Doherty, Dublin European Election Candidate and Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD, Minister for EU Affairs. The girls learned how the EU is at the forefront of promoting global trade, human rights, democracy, and the rule of law and how membership of the EU has offered both educational and professional opportunities to the young people of Ireland. The girls told the Minister how Transition Year offered them and their peers a wonderful opportunity to spend time abroad in Europe improving their language skills.
