Junk Kouture – Pics

Congratulations to all students who have entered projects in Junk Kouture, 2026. These incredible designs represent months of imagination, dedication, and hard work. The creativity on display this year is truly outstanding, and we are so proud of the phenomenal talent in our school.
Please find a summary of each project below:
 Oracle of Balance
Aoife, Ariun and Caoimhe
Our design is inspired by Themis, the goddess of justice, reimagined for our world, where balance has been lost. Draped in gold and blue, she stands as a symbol of justice and truth.

Sirens Ruin
Evie, Macy and Kadie
Our design is inspired by a wounded siren revealed by pollution and waste. We wanted to represent her as a symbol of the ocean and the marine animals. The idea is that she was once a beautiful species full of colour and light, but now is slowly weakening and fading as pollution and waste take over the waters.
The Runaway Bride
Freya, Aoife and Michalina
Our concept behind this work comes with a little story. Mother Nature, who has always been there for us and cares very deeply, is about to get married to the overall Earth. However, when she is coming down the ‘aisle’, she realises how badly humans have treated her. After this, she is heartbroken and decides to run away.
Sincere thanks to Ms Howard for her immense support and encouragement of all students taking part in this project. Her guidance has been invaluable throughout the Junk Kouture journey.
