On March 4th, our school celebrated Le Chéile Day with this year’s theme: Caring in Our Community. Students and staff marked the day with a series of thoughtful and uplifting activities:
1st Years shared key words that represent caring in our community. Their wonderful contributions are now displayed proudly on the Le Chéile board.
Ms. Doyle’s 2nd Year class spread kindness by handing out cards encouraging everyone to carry out a good deed.
Ms. MacLennon’s TY group created beautiful handmade cards for the convent, a gesture greatly appreciated.
Ms. Hyland organised some lovely treats for the staff, adding to the positive spirit of the day.
It was also decided that no homework would be assigned, giving students space to reflect on the importance of care and community.
Amelia (5th-year student) read the following reflection for the school community:
One Small Act Can Change EverythingOne tree can start a forest. One smile can begin a friendship; One hand can lift a soul; One word can frame the goal; One candle can wipe out darkness; One laugh can conquer gloom; One hope can raise your spirits; One touch can show you care; One life can make the difference,Be that one today.
A heartfelt thank you to all who helped create such a warm, caring atmosphere in our school.
