Congratulations to Zofia Rogozik (1L) on receiving one of four national Highly Commended awards in this year’s Irish Science Teachers Association (ISTA) Photography Competition.
The theme of the competition was “Science in Focus.” Zofia captured her photograph at the Sea Life Aquarium while on holiday in Mayo. Her image highlights the importance of protecting marine life as rising ocean temperatures caused by global warming threaten vulnerable species such as the jellyfish featured in her work.
Zofia’s photograph is currently on display at the Young Scientist Exhibition at the ISTA stand. Sincere thanks to Ms Hyland for organising this fantastic opportunity for our 1st-year science students.
