All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad
The Problem Solvers’ Challenge
The All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO) is a national contest in which students must develop their own strategies for solving complex puzzles.  These problems are based on fascinating languages from around the globe.
AILO challenges secondary school students to test their minds against the world's toughest problems in logic, language and linguistics.  Students must develop their own strategies for solving complex problems in unfamiliar languages - making AILO a fabulous way to hone problem-solving and lateral thinking skills.
Any student who is interested in this competition should come to Room 37 on Mondays at 1pm to find out more.
Claire O’Connor, a 6 th year student in St Louis High School in 2016 said the following about her experience of AIOL:
"I wouldn’t exchange this opportunity I had to represent Ireland for anything, it was a great honour, and was not short of phenomenal." Claire O’Connor, Bronze Medallist, International Linguistics Olympiad 2016

HEALTHY EATING AT ST LOUIS HIGH SCHOOL

In our efforts to promote Healthy Eating in St. Louis High School, a new canteen menu has been devised. The emphasise is on healthy food, freshly made salads, wraps, sandwiches and homemade soups. We would encourage the girls not to bring fizzy drinks and junk food to school for lunch. Click here to download the new menu. The vending machine, which operates after school and on Saturdays only contains healthy options which are supplied by the vending machine company.
